For those being recruited in new jobs it should be pleasing to hear that starting salaries have been on a steady increase. A report on jobs by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, and KPMG, highlights that salaries are rising at the fastest rate in six months.
Stats suggest that the employed have initially been better off in the beginning of this year. Almost a third of recruiters say that starting salaries have increased further in March for people placed in permanent job roles. This very recent increase is impressively the strongest since last September. These records were also assigned to the hourly rates of pay for temporary/contract staff where numbers rose at a robust pace, though slightly slower than in February. Nevertheless this year is showing positive signs for the Employment industry.
The increases in starting salary offers are being driven by the encouragement for more skill sets needed across the economy, and for businesses to retain a good employment rate. This has meant we have seen another increase in the number of people that have found a new job via a recruiter, a refreshing sign for the Recruitment industry.
